I was checking my bank accounts online and found that $80 was charged to my clashline account.
The cashline account was something that I did not ask for, it was activated without my consent, i was told it was free, however i kept it as it may be convenient should i ever need to issue cheque )
Hence its not something i need and $80 is absurd! Hence feeling really enraged, i want badly to call the bank and get them to explain the charges and terminate IMMEDIATELY. But given it a sunday, im kind of out of luck. However i did find this number: 1800 111 1111. So i gave a call, and after much navigation to 'cash line' and entering in my NRIC and Cashline account number, it gave me option "to waiver membership fees, press '3'" SO i hit that and it says, your waiver has been approved. I will monitor the account to ensure the $80 charge will be removed, but i also found out that via the same number it offers waivers for late payment and also waiver of credit card annual charge, which im paying!.. So i think with any bank, im sure this is available, means to show, banks are rich, we are not! Don't make them richer. Get your charges waived. Best of luck...
